Hudson Issues Call for Artists

Interested artists and musicians wanted for the third annual ‘Festival of the Arts’

HUDSON, N.C. – The town of Hudson and the Local Bean Coffee Shop have issued a call for artists for the third annual “Festival of the Arts,” according to the Caldwell Arts Council.

It is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Hudson.


In a news release, organizers said, “Our goal is to bring artists and musicians together for one special day in an effort to inspire our community to appreciate and support local artists. We wholeheartedly believe that art and music have the unique ability to enrich communities by uniting people from all walks of life for one common purpose – to enjoy the creative experience!”

They noted, “Last year’s event included pottery, paintings, sculptures, photography, woodwork, tapestries, stained glass, locally sourced honey, flowers and produce. The festival also showcased jazz, folk, and bluegrass musicians from around the community, as well as live artist demonstrations.”

Vendor spaces are $35 each or $45 to include access to electricity.
