Three candidates vie for two seats on the November ballot
LENOIR, N.C. – The three Democratic candidates for the Caldwell County Board of Commissioners will square off in a forum tomorrow, April 14 at the Lenoir branch of the Caldwell County Library, room 6.
There are two seats on the five-seat county board up for contention this year. The three Democratic candidates seeking to earn the two nominations for the November General Election are Thomas E. (Tom) Blanton, Michael D. Careccia, and Brian K. Foster.
The forum is from 4 – 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Statements will be followed by a Question & Answer session from the public.
The primary is May 8. One-stop (early) voting begins April 19 in the Council Chambers at the Alden E. Starnes County Plaza at 905 West Ave. in Lenoir and at the Granite Falls Recreations Department at 56 Pinewood Road in Granite Falls. The deadline to register to vote is April 13.
